Frame Running Wollongong: Weekly Sessions

  • Sports Hub, University of Wollongong Northfields Avenue Keiraville, NSW, 2500 Australia (map)

Frame Running Wollongong brings value, engagement, inclusion and fun to our local community, a lifetime legacy of the freedom to run.

A Frame Runner is a custom-built three-wheeled frame where the runner is fully supported by a saddle and leans against chest support, propelling themselves forward by the feet (one or both) while using hands and/or arms to steer. We have secured a venue partner to operate the Sports Hub at the University of Wollongong, enabling the program to run one afternoon a week.

A Physiotherapist sets the program for kids aged from 2 to 12 years who have a disability or impaired balance, with support from Community Volunteers, where we have a training program in place.

The program consists of one hour after school per week, where the kids experience a sporting activity – Frame Running with targeted goals, assessment, outcomes, and fun and inclusivity. Our Program is an activity where the whole family is encouraged to come along, and we also offer a sibling’s program.

If your child would like to be part of our amazing program you will need to complete the Registration Form.
